Pavement Ants Pest Control

Pavement ants get their name because they make nests in or under cracks in the pavement.

The Pavement Ant is dark brown to blackish, and 2.5-4 mm long with a wingspan of approximately 3 inches wide by 4 inches tall (2" x 5"). A colony includes workers, alates, females that have only had one mating flight before molting into the queen caste; males will fly off after this questing for mates but never return again as seen from below ground level perspective - while queens are always above ground roaming around looking for food sources like protein-rich meats or sugary sweets just depending on whatever mood she's feeling at any given time!

Pavement ants are attracted to properties that offer safe, warm shelter which is close to food and water sources. These pests like to make their nests in the cracks of paved driveways, under concrete foundations, or along sidewalks. They're not too picky when it comes to what they eat!

Pavement ants feed on a wide variety of sweets such as fruit juices or dead insects; grease from cooking oil also attracts them because pavement ants will often forage around greasy spots looking for bits of this delicious treat! Properties with compost piles, gardens, and garbage cans without lids are very attractive indeed since these areas provide ample opportunity for scavenging even more goodies - especially tasty fruits - while avoiding pesky predators who can't jump over fences into your property territory easily.

For some homeowners, pavement ants can present a difficult pest control issue. Once they invade your property you will find that these insects are inclined to come inside of the home as well foraging food and water sources in high quantities! If not taken care of quickly enough, this problem could become overwhelming because their numbers grow exponentially over time given ample living space and resources.
